Create a real-life situation with these Spanish Class Survey Activities where students use the grammar and vocabulary in context. Students begin by answering questions about themselves (YO form), create questions then ask classmates (TÚ form). After the survey is complete, it’s time to give results (ÉL/ELLA form). Finally they compare the results with their own answers (NOSOTROS form).
Spanish Preterite Tense Practice Activity Survey
This real-life survey activity helps students use the preterit tense in context with their classmates. After creating questions and asking their classmates, students write down the results for you to see. They end up using all the forms (except VOSOTROS) by the end of the activity. Students love practicing with this survey.
Spanish Class Schedule Practice Activity Survey
Students should have a basic knowledge of the verb TENER (Tengo, Tienes, tiene), Ordinal numbers (first; primero, etc) and classes vocab (arte, historia, etc). Students start by writing out their own class schedule. Then they go around asking their classmates about their schedule. When they are done talking they then write out the results to you using the 3rd person singular/plural form of the verb TENER (Tienen).
Spanish GUSTA/Verbs Practice Activity Survey
Built on prior knowledge of the verb GUSTA (Me/Te/LE/LES GUSTA) along with common leisure activity verbs students are to create and complete a survey. They love getting to know each other while practicing Spanish. At the end students are to find people outside of class that speak Spanish and ask them a few questions. Once the survey is complete they are to write out the results to you as the teacher using LE(S) gusta...
Spanish Present Tense Conjugations Practice Activity Survey
It would be good to first teach some basic regular verbs, possibly use the Infinitives Worksheet as a guide.
In the survey students choose 5 regular verbs and write them in the infinitive form. They then write whether they do that activity or not next to it, conjugating in the YO form. Then they create questions in the Tú form to ask their classmates. After they have all the spaces filled in, they are to write down the results for you saying who does (or doesn't) do what using the él/ella form and ellos/ellas form. It also includes the Nosotros(as) form of the conjugations. (Note: Although it says -AR verbs in the title, it can easily be changed for ER/IR verbs also)
Spanish SER/Characteristics Practice Activity Survey
This survey goes through all forms (minus VOSOTROS) of the verb SER helping the students conjugate the verb and agree the characteristic correctly in a sentence. They use the vocab and grammar in context as they go around asking their classmates then writing out the results to you. This survey can be altered by eliminating the ELLOS/ELLAS and NOSOTROS(AS) part for beginning students.
Spanish Reflexives Practice Activity Survey
A list of questions are given using the reflexive TÚ form. Students are to ask themselves these questions, then answer them in a complete sentence using the reflexive YO form. Then they are to go around asking classmates these questions, recording their answers. After they will write down the results on the back of the survey for you to assess them in the 3rd person (singular and plural) and in the NOSOTROS(AS) form. I have found great success doing this activity with my students who love using the language more in class.
